OUR STORY

It all started in Wormerveer, a small town along the Zaan river in the Netherlands, back in 1948. That's when our family first opened its doors as a clothing shop, long before online stores were even a thought. What began as a modest storefront on the Zaanweg grew, over the decades, into a business built entirely on trust between neighbors, a good eye for fabric, and the simple belief that clothing should make people feel like themselves.

The shop passed through the family over the years, and in 1987 it found its way into the hands of the woman who still leads it today. Under her direction, the business has stayed true to its roots while slowly adapting to a changing world, eventually becoming the sole owner of the company in the early 2000s and steering it with the same care her family always had.

Today we've brought that same spirit online under the name Elvxqira. We're a small team, just a handful of people, who still believe in the kind of clothing that lasts more than a season and looks good doing it. Our focus now is summer dresses for women: pieces that feel light, easy to move in, and just a little bit special, whether you're headed to a garden party or simply want to feel good walking down the street.

We're not a massive corporation churning out trends. We're a family business with more than 75 years of history in clothing, now doing what we've always done, just from a different kind of storefront. Every dress we choose is picked with the same attention our grandparents once gave to the fabrics on their shelves.
